Northeastern Hills Cooperative Parish Events:
Pack the Pantries & Blessing of Pets, Sept. 18, 10-2 p.m. We will be coming together to serve our community at Hardscrabble Day at the Red Hook United Methodist Church (4 Church St.) We are looking for volunteers from our churches to help make the day a success. Whether you can give one hour, two hours, or stay for the entire event, every helping hand is appreciated! If you are able to volunteer, please let us know which volunteer opportunity and time you would prefer. This is a wonderful opportunity for our Cooperative Parish to work together, meet people in our communities, support one another, and put our faith into action.

Volunteer Opportunities:
• Set-Up: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Help us prepare for the day.
This will include: Setting up our pop-up tents, Getting baskets and boxes ready for collecting and moving donations, Organizing an easy system for moving food to the church area for storage or to vehicles so donations can be brought back to our parish food pantries
• Greeters: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Help welcome people to our area and provide a friendly face for our Cooperative Parish. You do not need to stay for the entire four hours-volunteer for as long as you are available!
• Donation Sorters/Runners: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Help sort donations and move food and other items to the appropriate location-either to the church area for storage or to vehicles for transport back to one of our parish food pantries.
• Assist Pastor Caroline with the Blessing of the Pets: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Volunteers can assist with welcoming people and their pets, helping things run smoothly, and providing support as needed.
• Clean-Up: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Help us take everything down, gather our supplies, and leave the area clean and organized.
➢ A Special Note for Our Food Pantries If you are volunteering on behalf of one of the parish food pantries, you are welcome to take donated food back with you for your food pantry. We want to make sure that the generosity of the community goes directly back into the hands of those we serve.
